Daily Inspiration

“An argument arose among the disciples about which of them was the greatest. Jesus realized the intention of their hearts and took a child and placed it by his side and said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. For the one who is least among all of you is the one who is the greatest.” —Luke 9:46-48

The Holy Spirit took me and placed me by His side, and I realized I was less than a child, but a speck before the Eternal Creator. I saw the foundation of the Church’s teaching below me, reaching just shy of where I stood. In that small gap between those stone slabs of teachings and my feet were what we call the mysteries of the faith. They are truths so simple that the earthly adult mind cannot fathom them.

Yet as I looked into God Himself, I understood those mysteries. They seemed so simple that I exclaimed, ‘It is all so simple; even a child could understand His Truth!’ As I looked back and forth from the teachings of the Church founded by Christ to God Himself, I couldn’t help but exclaim, with repetitive, childlike amazement, ‘It’s all true…It’s all true!’ The Truth of the Father is held within the Church founded by the Son. I saw all this in the Holy Spirit.
