Daily Inspiration

Jesus journeyed from one town and village to another, preaching and proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God. Accompanying him were the Twelve and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, Joanna, the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza, Susanna, and many others who provided for them out of their resources.”—Luke 8:1-3

We read in Genesis that God created woman to be man’s ‘helper,’ but we often misinterpret that translation. The word used is ezer: an indispensable companion, an equal ally who gives strength where the other is lacking. Every other reference in Scripture to the use of ezer is pointed to God, as Strength, Deliverer, or Rescuer.

Women far outnumber men among those who have heard me speak. Ladies, it seems you may understand the importance of the message more than my fellow fellas. Dear women, perhaps the Lord is calling you to share His message with the men around you. Be the ezer that God intended, and strengthen the men around you with Scripture, Church teachings, and all the other of God’s blessings.
