Wednesday of the Second Week of Advent

“Jesus said to the crowds: "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light." –Matthew 11:28-30

Once, the Holy Spirit let me come to Him and live in the Light, Power, Love, and Mercy of the Most Holy Trinity. His knowledge was infused into me, and while I cannot remember it all, some remains.

I know how often we fall for the lies of the enemy and burden ourselves with the false demands of this world. And I know we make it harder for ourselves than the Lord intended. Upon my return, I saw that what I once thought was my will was whispered lies placed in my mind by the serpent, looking to eat the dust that I am.

As I purge myself of those lies, God cuts away the enemy’s yoke and replaces it with His own. And that, my friends, is when true rest and peace come, but to wear His yoke, we must learn to disregard our trust in ourselves and the serpent's lies and trust only in the Father's will for us.
