The other day, I sat and watched a honey bee collecting pollen from a flower. It caused me to think of the immensity of God’s knowledge, and then it spurred me to look up a couple of scripture passages.

And so, I say to you, do not be anxious about your life, as to what you will eat, nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Consider the birds of the air, how they neither sow, nor reap, nor gather into barns, and yet the heavenly Father feeds them. And which of you, by thinking, is able to add one cubit to his stature?” (Matthew 6:25-27 NABRE)

I try to remember, that although we live in this world we belong to our Lord, and were created to be in His world. Our God loves and cares for us and He wishes for us to be with Him for all eternity. As I watched that little bee, I found it comforting to understand that if God knew of the needs of the birds and bees, how much more does he know and care for mine?

I can feel a collective fear creeping back in, resurfacing again, in the world. I know fear is an often-used tool of the enemy, and I know how important it is that we cast it aside. Casting away fear is easier if we remember, that God is in control. We may not see or understand His divine plan, but Scripture tells us, God does not lose. When that fear comes to you, remember those words Jesus gave to St. Faustina.

“Most merciful Jesus, I trust in You.”

“Peace I leave for you; my peace I give you. Not in the way the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, and let it not fear.” (John 14:27 NABRE)
