“Brothers and sisters: When the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to ransom those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. As proof that you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son then also an heir, through God.” -Galatians 4:4-7
God brought forth His salvation upon us through the ‘Yes’ of a young girl. If we are sons of God, then we, too, are brothers of Christ. If we are brothers of Christ Jesus, we must share the same mother, Mary.
In the ancient courts of Isreal, the queen mother whispered the needs of the people to her son, the king. The people would bring their needs to the mother of the king, which were conveyed to the king from her lips.
Brothers and sisters, Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, is our mother too, who whispers our needs to her Son, the King.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Merry Christmas!
Saint Joseph Mary Tomasi, pray for us.
