“Jesus came to his native place and taught the people in their synagogue. They were astonished and said, "Where did this man get such wisdom and mighty deeds? Is he not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother named Mary…” -Matthew 13:54-55
Today is the Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker when we celebrate the man who provided for and protected the Holy Family. I can’t imagine being given such an arduous task, but the Lord always provides everything we need to complete the mission He gives us.
God uses life's trials and tribulations to prepare us for His future plans. Within the furnace of hardship, He places powerful gifts that shape us like steel on an anvil. Consider what Saint Joseph must have encountered in his life, which shaped him into the Terror of Demons.
Imagine that the Terror of Demons was also a loving husband and stepfather who helped Mary raise Jesus. He gave a father’s love to the Son of the Father.
