Jesus said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? To what can I compare it? It is like a mustard seed that a man took and planted in the garden. When it was fully grown, it became a large bush and the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches.”-Luke 13:18-19
Christ tells us the Kingdom of God is like a tiny mustard seed. Interestingly, in Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus tells us that we can move mountains if we have faith only the size of a mustard seed.
Faith is a gift from God, and like all His gifts, we can accept it or let it fall away. If we take His gift, we shouldn’t allow it to lay dormant. We must nourish our faith to help it grow, and as our faith grows, God’s Kingdom grows within us.
If we remain true to the Lord and keep the faith given to us, God will do great things with our tiny seed. With the slightest faith in God's awesome power, He will move mountains through us. Imagine what will happen if our faith becomes fully grown.
He said to them, “Because of your little faith. Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” -Matthew 17:20
