“Jesus summoned the Twelve and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He said to them, "Take nothing for the journey, neither walking stick, nor sack, nor food, nor money, and let no one take a second tunic. Whatever house you enter, stay there and leave from there. And as for those who do not welcome you, when you leave that town, shake the dust from your feet in testimony against them." Then they set out and went from village to village proclaiming the Good News and curing diseases everywhere.” -Luke 9:1-6
The enemy would have us believe that his power is nearly equal to that of the Lord. But that is a lie. There is no fight or comparison between God and the enemy. God won handily, done and over. The enemy cannot even lay eyes on God unless Our Lord allows it.
The truth is that the least in heaven is more powerful than all the enemy’s demons combined because the least in heaven is with God. The enemy cannot lay hands on us either unless God allows it; if He does, it is for our greater good, drawing us closer to Him.
Because we belong to the Father, He places an angel with each soul to protect and guide us. A battle still rages, but not between God and the enemy; it is for our souls, yet fear not. All of heaven fights for the Lord to help win the battle for our souls.
