“Jesus journeyed from one town and village to another, preaching and proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God. Accompanying him were the Twelve and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, Joanna, the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza, Susanna, and many others who provided for them out of their resources.” -Luke 8:1-3
Consider the profound privilege of walking with Christ on His journeys. The experience of walking and conversing with Jesus as He imparted His teachings must have been truly amazing.
Imagine now what it was like to have your mind and body corrupted by seven demons. We see and hear of people who, even today, seem to walk with Christ, which may make us a little envious of their special calling. But we overlook the torment they suffered to get to that place.
Imagine the relief, peace, and love they received when Christ came to cure them of their infirmities. Praise God; Christ comes to cure each of us and calls us to journey with Him. The trip for each soul is unique. Rejoice; he touches you, too, and wishes you to accompany Him and provide for Him out of your resources.
