“Amen, amen, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world." So they said to him, "Sir, give us this bread always." Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.” -John 6:32-35
Just as the Father sent manna from heaven down to the earth, He sent His only begotten Son. Jesus was wrapped in the swaddling clothes like the newborn unblemished Pascal lambs. He was laid in a manger, the vessel used to feed the beasts of burden.
The flesh and blood of the Pascal lamb are required to celebrate the Passover Seder meal. Since the fall of man, Christ intended to become our Pascal Lamb, and becomes the Pascal Sacrifice in the Holy Mass by giving us His flesh and blood as our communion with Him, present in the Eucharist. When we eat His flesh and drink His blood, the death of sin passes over us, and we receive life in Christ.
