Jesus said to his disciples: "Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. "Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.” -Luke 6:36-38
There will come a time in each of our lives when we will see ourselves in the same Truth proclaimed throughout Scripture. We will judge ourselves as to whether we lived by the world’s standard, or by God’s.
In mercy, I tell my brothers and sisters about what awaits us. I have no desire to judge, condemn, or withhold forgiveness. I only wish to make everyone aware so they may share in the grace I was given through my harsh lesson.
There will come a moment when we will weigh our lives against the teachings of Christ. If we lived our earthly life in opposition to the Lord, then that is where we should expect to live our eternity as well. If we expect God to give us grace and mercy in our eternal life, we should provide the same to others now.
