"See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and 'The time has come.' Do not follow them! When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end." Then he said to them, "Nation will rise aainst nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues from place to place; and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky.”-Luke 21:7-11
There is talk of the end times everywhere we turn. Indeed, the things that Jesus speaks of in this passage are occurring around the world. But hasn’t it been that way for centuries? We should not fear that the Lord is returning and life as we know it will end, but rather, we should look forward to His return with joyful anticipation and excitement because life as we know it will end!
No man can solve all the tribulations and unrest that cover this world. Only the Lord will bring peace to our world, and His Presence is too long delayed.
As Advent approaches, let's use the time wisely to clear out the clutter in our souls and make room for His return. Surrender completely to God and ask with excitement in our hearts: Come, Lord Jesus, come!
