Daily Inspiration

Jesus said to his disciples: "Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known the hour when the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come" -Luke 12:39-40

Yesterday, we read where Jesus told us to be prepared for His Second Coming, and today, again, Christ shares the same message. Jesus’ warnings take me back to that red room, where I understood with perfect clarity, that it was too late for me. In life, sin had broken into my house, and stolen my most precious treasure, eternal life in God’s Kingdom, and I willingly let it happen. My chance to repent, to prepare was over, and there was no do over, no going back. I squandered my opportunities in life, and I would die in pain and misery, forever. But in His mercy, Christ sent me back, like Lazarus the Beggar, to warn his brothers. He gave me another chance, to prepare, and hopefully to help others do the same.
