Daily Inspiration

Jesus said to his disciples: "The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field, which a person finds and hides again, and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls. When he finds a pearl of great price, he goes and sells all that he has and buys it." -Luke 13:44-46

In the parable, Jesus didn’t tell us what happened afterward, but as Paul Harvey would always say: This is the rest of the story! Once the person really looked at his treasure, he realized that the same treasure is buried in every field, just waiting to be discovered. Now, rather than hiding his newfound treasure, he shows it to everyone he meets and even points to the exact place the treasure is buried in every field he encounters so that the owners can dig it up themselves. My friends, if you have found the treasure of our Lord, show it to others, so that they too can find the treasure of the Kingdom.
