Daily Inspiration

Jesus said to his apostles: “Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”-Matthew 10:37-39

Again, in this passage, we hear how we should order our lives to the Lord. The things we love most, those we hold closest to our heart, our spouse, children, career, our everything, give them all away to the Lord. He wants also the burden of our cross, but this He asks we pick up and carry to Him. Once we give Him our everything, that is when we see, He returns it all back to us, but in better condition than we gave. Once we place our cross on our shoulders, with love for Him in our hearts, that is when we feel Him ease our yoke and lighten our burden. When we give this life away to Christ, He rewards us with True Life in God.
