“I will give you understanding, and I will instruct you in this way, in which you will walk. I will fix my eyes upon you.” -Psalm 32:8

How often do we sit in silence and ask the LORD what it is He is asking of us? What is our mission He has assigned to us? I try and take some time every day to ask Him what it is He wants of me today, and then I ask Him to guide me. That is the easy part. We are all usually pretty good at asking God for things. It takes a little effort though, to listen for the answer.

“God has created me to do Him some definite service. He has committed some work to me which He has not committed to another. I have my mission. I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next. I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons. He has not created me for naught. I shall do good; I shall do His work.”

— St. John Henry Newman

Today, if you haven’t already, ask God what His mission is for you today, and take a quiet moment to listen for His answer.

Christ’s peace be with you,

Ed

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. And before you went forth from the womb, I sanctified you. And I made you a prophet to the nations.”

-Jeremiah 1:5
