“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your vindication as the light, and your right as the noonday. Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over him who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!” (Psalm 37:5-7)
Lately, I have felt a restlessness, and division, rising within society. It is important for me to remember from where the source of restlessness and division comes. They are powerful weapons of the enemy, and at times I’m easily led into these traps. The recent Gospel readings have focused on the uniting lessons of Christ, where He warns us of the dangers of division, and the power found in unity. These lessons echo throughout Scripture.
“For through faith you are all children of God in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free person, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26-28)
Recently my soul has been feeling such turmoil, but through the help of so many of my spiritual friends, I’ve been reminded that the Holy Spirit will bring peace to our souls. If I am in turmoil, then I am not properly placing my trust in the Holy Spirit to guide me. I pray that you can easily see and avoid the enemy’s traps and that you accept Christ’s peace into your soul.

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your selves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
