A wooden cross draped with purple cloth stands before congregants praying in a stone church.

Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.” —Matthew 5:17-19

Forgive the mismatch in today’s inspiration; I do not see the correlation to the above reading, but it came so strongly to mind while meditating on this passage that I had to present it.

In my earlier life, God placed miracles each day that went mostly unnoticed by me. There were days, even when the most profound miracles occurred, yet they were soon forgotten, until after He awakened me. This made me ponder if there were any other forgotten miracles that I had left buried in my memories. Immediately, I was reminded of one.

A Scripture verse came to mind. The grandest of all miracles God ever granted, common to each soul ever born. Today, meditate on the miracles God has given you, beginning with this:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.” -John 3:16
