Jesus said to the crowds: “To what shall I compare the people of this generation? What are they like? They are like children who sit in the marketplace and call to one another, ‘We played the flute for you, but you did not dance. We sang a dirge, but you did not weep.’ For John the Baptist came neither eating food nor drinking wine, and you said, ‘He is possessed by a demon.’ The Son of Man came eating and drinking and you said, ‘Look, he is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is vindicated by all her children.” -Luke 7:31-35

There is a time to dance and a time to weep, yet every moment is made to profess the truth of Christ. For those given the truth, their call is to reach out to the souls who have not heard, or worse, the souls who have forgotten what Our Lord, Jesus, has done for them.

I have seen the evil of this world, seemingly powerful, and covering the earth. I also have seen the coming wave of God’s goodness, so immense that the evil before it is but tiny stubble. Looking into God’s wave, I saw it made up of regular souls, like yours and mine, proclaiming His word throughout the dark corners, covering that tiny stubble. Once the Word washed the murk from the stubble, what remained was a lush grass.

I proclaim the truth, not because it is hidden from you, but to encourage you, to join the wave of God’s goodness, carrying Christ to those who need to hear, bringing His light into the darkest corners. For those who know the truth, do not fear being God’s wave, speaking Christ’s truth, that washes the muck of the enemy away, revealing the lush life God has planned for them, because every soul was made to be a child of God.
