“Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die… When Jesus saw her weeping and the Jews who had come with her weeping, he became perturbed and deeply troubled, and said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to him, “Sir, come and see.” And Jesus wept. So the Jews said, “See how he loved him.” But some of them said, “Could not the one who opened the eyes of the blind man have done something so that this man would not have died?” So Jesus, perturbed again, came to the tomb.” -John 11:25-26, 33-38

Since Adam and Eve were cast from the Garden of Eden, the Kingdom of God had been closed to man, but Jesus came as our Savior to open the Kingdom again. If we believe that Christ is the Resurrection, our death on this Earth is merely a new birth to our life with Him in the Kingdom. Jesus wept because there were still so many who did not understand that He came to free us from sin. There are so many today, that still do not understand, but each of us can help bring the message of Jesus, to those who are still in the darkness.
