Daily Inspiration

“One man was there who had been ill for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been ill for a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be well? Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your mat, and walk.” Immediately the man became well, took up his mat, and walked.” -John 5:5-6, 8-9

God gives us free will. He will never impose Himself on us and even asks permission to heal us. An often missed point in this Scripture is that God doesn’t just heal us but He makes us whole. For 38 years this man did not use his legs, but at the instant of his healing, those withered legs were made strong. When we give God permission to enter into our daily life, we will be well, we will become whole.
