“God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God. And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.” -John 3:16-21
God so loved the world that He sent His only-begotten Son into creation. The Son brought with Him an ocean of mercy to overcome the ocean of pain caused by our sins. We may not notice the pain of sin while we stray, but surely, we will experience it if we choose to be immersed in that ocean of mercy and cleansed in the Blood of the Lamb. We will agonize as the Lord tears away the sin clinging to our souls and rebuilds our hearts to be once again in His image.
At that moment, it will be too late; we will regret every sin we committed, and our souls will burn in remorse for the pain we have caused Jesus. Now is the time to repent, change, and avoid the near occasion of sin. Now is the time to bring ourselves, along with our sins hiding in the darkness, into the light of Christ.
Live in the Truth of Christ, work in His light, confess your sins, and believe in Him that you might not perish but might have eternal life. It is never too late; there is no sin the Lord won’t forgive, except the one we will not confess.
Hallelujah, He is risen! He is risen indeed, Hallelujah!
