“The crowd said to Jesus: "What sign can you do, that we may see and believe in you? What can you do? Our ancestors ate manna in the desert, as it is written: He gave them bread from heaven to eat." So Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world." So they said to Jesus, "Sir, give us this bread always." Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.” -John 6:30-35
In John’s Gospel, we see Jesus preparing the people, teaching them about the nature and necessity of what is to come. Although we have the Scriptures and teachings of the Church, we often still ask Our Lord, “What sign can you do?”
When I was in the presence of the Holy Spirit, He allowed me to experience the Prayer of Union. The Holy Spirit physically entered my spiritual soul. There was a crossing over or combining of the spiritual and physical worlds, which resulted in an ecstasy unobtainable in this pale world.
God planned our union with Him from the beginning. Jesus did not just come up with the Eucharist at the Last Supper. Christ knew before His Incarnation that the Holy Mass and the Blessed Sacrament would be our earthly way of receiving Him as I did in that other world. It would be the crossing over, the blending of the spiritual and physical. He came down from heaven to offer Himself in both the Passion and the Eucharist for our salvation.
He is risen! He is risen indeed. Hallelujah!
