“The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things. But the one who comes from heaven is above all. He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy. For the one whom God sent speaks the words of God. He does not ration his gift of the Spirit. The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.” -John 3:31-36
In this place, we only feel a shadow of love. It is reduced to a mental, emotional, or sometimes a spiritual experience. But in the Kingdom, in the presence of our Lord, we will experience His love in an entirely new way.
God’s love transcends any emotion, thought, or experience of earthly love. His love will pour down upon us and enter into every fiber of our being. His love is infinitely beyond all superficial, worldly experiences. It is beyond the intangible earthly sense. In the presence of God, love covers us in the physical sense, and we will feel it showering down upon us just as we feel rays of sunshine here.
We will live forever in the gentle hold of the love shared between the Father and Son. God so loved the World that He sent His only-begotten Son, and the Son so loved the world that He suffered, died, and rose again. God graces us with the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Holy Trinity, the result and expression of love between the Father and Son. The Holy Spirit allows us a simple taste of the love we will encounter in the world to come.
Hallelujah, He is risen! He is risen indeed, Hallelujah!
