“Salvation comes from our God, who is seated on the throne, and from the Lamb." All the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They prostrated themselves before the throne, worshiped God, and exclaimed: "Amen. Blessing and glory, wisdom and thanksgiving, honor, power, and might be to our God forever and ever. Amen." Then one of the elders spoke up and said to me, "Who are these wearing white robes, and where did they come from?" I said to him, "My lord, you are the one who knows." He said to me, "These are the ones who have survived the time of great distress; they have washed their robes and made them white in the Blood of the Lamb.” -Revelation 7:10-14
I write about another experience the Lord showed me in my second book, The Triumph of the Cross. God allowed me to experience being washed clean in the Blood of the Lamb.
“I could feel that same love that I once felt coming from the Holy Spirit, which touched me like rays of sunshine then. Now, this love wasn’t just touching the outside of my soul; it was penetrating deep into the interior and structure of my spiritual being.
My soul felt like the pain was tearing it apart, yet the love was so pure and good that it made all the pain worthwhile. I felt the love that Christ poured out for us in His Passion, and to call it beautiful does not begin to do it justice. I know of no earthly words to describe it. The waves kept coming, each bigger and stronger than the last, and as they increased, so did the pain they carried, but in proportion, so did the love.
I knew the first wave resulted from my sin, and the following waves were the combined effect of all the world’s sins throughout the ages. This was the suffering Jesus accepted and the love He poured out for us. The physical pain that I felt in the hospital so long ago did not even register on the scale when compared to the spiritual pain I felt. Strangely, as horrible as it was, I didn’t want it to end because I knew the love flowing within it was rebuilding my soul” -The Triumph of the Cross.
All saints, pray for us.
