“King Herod heard about Jesus, for his fame had become widespread, and people were saying, "John the Baptist has been raised from the dead; That is why mighty powers are at work in him." Others were saying, "He is Elijah"; still others, "He is a prophet like any of the prophets." But when Herod learned of it, he said, "It is John whom I beheaded. He has been raised up.” -Mark 6:14-17
There is still much confusion and misunderstanding of who Jesus is. False teachings abound, and the lies of the enemy confuse.
What may have become of Herod if even one soul could have taught him the Truth of Jesus? How many Herods are there today, believing false teachings and thinking they know the truth while being led astray?
My friends, we can be that voice of truth. We can be the witness to Our Lord. We can dispel the confusion and answer the question of who is Jesus when we profess:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead...
Saint Richard the King, pray for us.
