“Beloved: Who indeed is the victor over the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” -Matthew 2:1-12
 
Life has winners and losers, but which describes you depends on your perspective. What is it to gain the whole world but lose your soul? 
 
The life we spend on this earth is just a moment in time. What is it worth to gain victory here and now but die defeated for all eternity? Focus, then, on the next world, focus on Christ, and achieve victory and life when and where it matters most.
 
Christ Jesus became victorious over sin and death; blessed are those who, in their thoughts and actions, believe Jesus is the Son of God.
