“Jesus said to them, "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. And as for you, Capernaum, 'Will you be exalted to heaven? You will go down to the netherworld.' Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.” -Luke 10:13-16
There was a time when I lived in my truth and the world’s standards, not His. And the Lord said to me, “Woe to you, Eddie!” I was not exalted to heaven, yet I agreed that the judgment was just and right.
Now and again, we must look at ourselves in the light of Truth. Do we see the mighty deeds Christ has done in our midst? Have we taken the time to repent and change our ways?
Praise the Lord; He has given us another day to accept Him and the One who sent Him, another chance to understand that it is only in His will that we find the way back home.
