Daily Inspiration

Jesus said to his disciples: "You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your heavenly Father, for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have? Do not the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brothers and sisters only, what is unusual about that? Do not the pagans do the same? So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.” -Matthew 5:43-48

I stood in the Presence of the Holy Spirit and felt His light and power shine upon me like rays of the sun. I felt His love and mercy pour over me like the rain. But it was not because I was good or just.

He showed me that I was no different than His other children. His grace pours out the same on you as it does on me. But we must look with the eyes of our soul to see.

Trust in the Lord that what I speak is truth. If I am to be called good or just in any way, know that it is only because my soul opened to His gifts. As a television is an instrument that repeats the signal sent to it for all to see, good and bad alike, so does it work with God and us. Open your soul to receive God’s gifts. Be His instrument and display His love to all the world.
