“After making the crossing to the other side of the sea, Jesus and his disciples came to land at Gennesaret and tied up there. As they were leaving the boat, people immediately recognized him. They scurried about the surrounding country and began to bring in the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. Whatever villages or towns or countryside he entered, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak; and as many as touched it were healed.” -Mark 6:53-56
I hear the lamenting, wishing Christ was here to work His miracles and cure our sickness. I challenge that lamenting with my life. I am a dead man by all the laws of physics and medicine, yet you are reading my words today. If He were not there with me that day, how could this be?
God reaches through time and space to hold each of our souls and physically touches us every moment of every day. His hand is like the anchor for our soul and keeps us tied to the safety of His shore.
We are blessed with countless miracles each day that go unseen and unnoticed. Christ crosses from the other side and ties up with us. We see Him in our midst if we close our eyes and look with our souls. There is more here than just His tassel. If only we were to reach out to touch Him.
