“I tell you, brothers and sisters, the time is running out. From now on, let those having wives act as not having them, those weeping as not weeping, those rejoicing as not rejoicing, those buying as not owning, those using the world as not using it fully. For the world in its present form is passing away.” -1 Corinthians 7:29-31
I’ve known it since the moment of impact of that near-fatal wreck. This world is not real, and our sight is hazy, but there is a world beyond, which is very real, where we’ll see with crystal clarity. And while this world seems real to us now, it has become greatly disordered. St. Paul tells us in the Scripture verse above that it is time to place the Lord ahead of everything else in our lives.
Positive change occurs when we correctly order our lives and place God above all else. With God foremost in our thoughts, actions, and will, this false, present world begins to pass away, and we start living in the real world the Lord created for us.
