“Asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, Jesus said in reply, "The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed, and no one will announce, 'Look, here it is,' or, 'There it is.' For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you." -Luke 17:20-21
Jesus is the Kingdom, and our souls were created to be His Temple. They are a place He made to dwell within. Too often we clutter that space with things of unimportance, always looking outside to fill the emptiness within, and we often leave little or no room for Him. To fill that emptiness, we must clean out that space, and make room for the Kingdom to fill your heart. I have often wondered, did I go out into the vastness of space to meet the Lord, or did I travel deep within my soul, passing all the nothingness I had placed there? If I had made more room for Him beforehand, perhaps the trip to meet Him wouldn’t have been so far.
