Jesus said to his disciples: "I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before others the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God. But whoever denies me before others will be denied before the angels of God. "Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. When they take you before synagogues and before rulers and authorities, do not worry about how or what your defense will be or about what you are to say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you should say." -Luke 12:8-12
Once, I asked Jesus to send the Holy Spirit to save me as I peered into the pit of Hell, but I had no faith that the Holy Spirit would come. After a period of intense, and intimate prayer with Christ, my faith was changed by the grace of God; it was strengthened, and the Holy Spirit showed Himself to me. To say I was changed afterward is an understatement. I have come to depend on, trust, and expect the Holy Spirit to give me the insight, thoughts, and words that I write here, and speak publicly. If what you read and hear from me impacts you, then know that they are not my words, but the words I now trust the Lord to give me. My friends, as I always say, I am not different from you, and what the Lord gives to me, He gives to all. Have faith then, and trust, that Christ has sent the Advocate to you as well.
“Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.” There are no limits to the mercy of God, but anyone who deliberately refuses to accept his mercy by repenting, rejects the forgiveness of his sins and the salvation offered by the Holy Spirit. Such hardness of heart can lead to final impenitence and eternal loss.” (CCC 1864).
