“Jesus summoned the Twelve and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He said to them, "Take nothing for the journey, neither walking stick, nor sack, nor food, nor money, and let no one take a second tunic. Whatever house you enter, stay there and leave from there. And as for those who do not welcome you, when you leave that town, shake the dust from your feet in testimony against them." Then they set out and went from village to village proclaiming the good news and curing diseases everywhere." -Luke 9:1-6 The Great Commission is for us to go out, battle demons, proclaim the Good News, and heal the sick. True, not all have the gift of physical healing, but the Lord has given us all ears and mouths to use in ministering to the spiritually sick. When we proclaim Christ to those who need to know Him, is when we attack the demons afflicting them. And if we should find any number of reasons why we can’t go out, proclaiming Christ to others, then it is we who are losing the spiritual battle. Ask for help from God, trusting in the Lord, and He will provide. Ask that God may open our ears to hear, give us the words to speak, and the courage to proclaim His message to others.
