Jesus said to the disciples: "The Kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind. When it is full they haul it ashore and sit down to put what is good into buckets. What is bad they throw away. Thus it will be at the end of the age. The angels will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth." -Matthew 13:47-52
If the end of the age were to come today, would the angels place your soul into the buckets for the Lord, or cast you away? It is easy for us to look at ourselves and believe we are worthy if we base our judgment on the standards set by the world. It is much harder for us to accept who we are if we look at ourselves and base that judgment on the law set by God. This is why an honest examination of the condition of our soul is needed if we want to be counted as a fish worthy to be gathered for the Lord. How blessed are we, that the Lord has given us this day to see our errors, and work to make the changes He desires for us?
