“A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path, and birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky ground, where it had little soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep, and when the sun rose it was scorched, and it withered for lack of roots. Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it. But some seed fell on rich soil, and produced fruit, a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold. Whoever has ears ought to hear."-Matthew 13:3-9
You, my friends, are the rich soil, the Word of God is the seed, and the Holy Spirit is the water that makes it grow. I write these messages knowing that you are not the ones who need to hear them, but in hopes that some of the seed may fall on the rocky ground, or among the thorns. If we spread the fruit that was produced in us from the Lord’s seed and water, in time, the rocky ground will open, and itself become fertile. Like waves crashing on rock, in time the rock breaks into sand. The Lord just as well can make anyone into rich soil, we just need to have patience, persistence, and faith.
