Jesus said to the Twelve: "Fear no one. Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father's knowledge. Even all the hairs of your head are counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father. But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father." -Matthew 10:26-33
Fear no one, or anything, and have trust in the Lord always. He speaks to us in a whisper but asks us to be His amplifier. Those who live in darkness fear the light but are the ones in most need of hearing the saving message of Jesus. We must turn our focus away from the world and the glitter of the enemy, and toward the eternity that is to follow this place, and boldly proclaim the salvation of Christ. We must be His voice for a world that does not want to hear it. As we pour ourselves out for the Lord, He pours Himself into us, but it is never proportional. When we give a little, God replenishes us by multitudes. The God who has known you from before your conception still knows your every need. Give yourself fully to Christ, let others see His light shining through you, and trust that He has a plan for you.
