“Jesus said, “Amen, I say to you, there is no one who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for my sake and for the sake of the gospel who will not receive a hundred times more now in this present age: houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and eternal life in the age to come. But many that are first will be last, and the last will be first.” -Mark 10:29-31
God is Love. He wants more for us than we even know exists. There is no material thing in this world regardless of its value, worth even the smallest of conciliations in the Kingdom. Throughout His earthly mission, Jesus tries to tell us if we just let go of the things of this world and surrender our lives to God, we will be rewarded with a place in the Father’s House. Given the choice of first in this world, or last in the Father’s, I would gladly choose last with Him every time. If we find ourselves bathed in the Light of the Holy Trinity, first or last, we will have everything we will ever want or need.
